311 A St NE #2: This apartment - two blocks to the Capitol, five blocks to orange, blue, and red line metros - is the entire top two floors of an 1860s detached townhouse, with a huge roof deck, original wide pine floors upstairs, and tons of light.

This apartment just underwent a significant upgrade, including new lighting, new bath, new stainless kitchen appliances, and a more open floorplan.

Tenant Comments

My husband, newborn baby, and I stayed at one of the apts while we returned to the states on medevac to have the baby. The landlord, Brian, was more than accomodating to our situation. He was very flexible when my medevac had to be extended. Also, as another reviewer said, he understands long term TDYs and sliding scale per diem.

The neighborhood is very convienent, to everything--the Hill, Eastern Market, Metro Center, and 2 metro stops that take you anywhere in the city. We'll definitely be staying at one of the apartments the next time we return to the DC area for long term TDY. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I am so glad that I was able to find Capitol Hill Stay on the internet. The apartment, 311 A Street NE #2 was great! The apartment itself has a large floor plan and is nicely decorated. The bathroom and kitchen are brand new and has everything you could possibly need.

The location is as perfect as you can get; safe, and quiet. You are just blocks away from the Capitol and blocks away from many highly rated and delicious restaurants, particularly on 8th Street. With corner groceries and the Eastern Market nearby it is so easy to shop as well. Renting from Capitol Hill Stay was the best decision and one I hope to make again when in D.C..

Excellent! The service was great, as was the communication with the property owner and manager. Everyone was flexible and responsive. The apartment was in very good shape, attractively decorated and had many conveniences. Good bed, nice towels, reliable internet, enough lighting and seating, etc. The location is also fantastic as you have shops and restaurants (and the metro - Capitol South) all within a few blocks of the apartment. The pre-arrival information was very useful and timely. Overall a great, hassle free experience! I will most definitely recommend CHS to colleagues who are looking for a nice, furnished apartment close to downtown DC.

Wonderful! Amazingly flexible with payment schedule and moving out. And any time anything was needed during my stay, it was provided right away. The entranceway and yard were always nice and tidy, and the cleaning crew that came once a month were very thorough and appreciated. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

We had stayed at 311 A street NE. our stay was for a small period of 13 days and we had thoroughly enjoyed it at CHS. We were provided with everything which was either mentioned on the website from where we did our booking and / or committed on e mail communication before arrival. in addition, we were also provided with some consumables which were neither mentioned nor committed. Our host Mr. Brian was very helpful and cooperative. He had listen to our complaint and immediately reacted and rectified within the shortest period of time. we consider our stay at CHS was full of wonderful memories and unforgettable.
