310 Miller's Court NE
(1 BR Carriage House)

Available June 9

This charming property isn't an apartment - it's a cozy two story one bedroom carriage house. It has it's own backyard and private entrance.

As such it provides a very unusual furnished apartment experience that is hard to come by in the Washington DC furnished lodging market. It provides a totally different experience than staying in a traditional DC corporate apartment. It's around 600 square feet. Open floorplan. Parking MAY be available but inquire first.

This carriage house was built in the 1880s. At the time of it's creation it would have housed an artisan worker of some sort, or perhaps a blacksmith shop or other small neighborhood-based business. Many of these were torn down in years past, so the few that remain are highly sought after. There are only a few dozen of these left on Capitol Hill, and it's rare to find one of these so close to the Capitol.

Pricing

Monthly rates beginning at $5250. Pricing is determined by length of stay, time of year, apartment availability, and other factors. Please inquire for details.

Tenant Comments:

I was very apprehensive about staying in Washington D.C., especially with signing a contract for a place I had not seen in person. Upon arrival, all my worries disappeared. The Carriage House is a perfect location, near the Metro stop, restaurants, all the museums and national monuments, dry cleaners, and several coffee houses. Safety was never a concern because the Capital Hill police are on almost every corner. It was nice to have a sense of privacy and a feeling of being “home,” which is a luxury often sacrificed when staying at a hotel. The Carriage House has an updated and modern kitchen, stock full of all the amenities one might need so that you can cook, just as if you were home. There is also a flat panel television with DVR so I never once had to worry about missing my favorite shows. The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed many nights of peaceful sleep. I enjoyed my stay with Capitol Hill Stay, and will look for their services the next time I have an extended stay in the D.C. area.

Everyone we encountered was professional and very helpful. We asked for extra blankets, and they were here within minutes. We have had a wonderful stay, the location cannot be beat. We will definitely recommend you to everyone we know. Because of our stay we only looked in the Capitol Hill area for a permanent place to live.

I stayed at 310 Miller's Court from 1/2011 through 6/2011 and can't say enough good things about the property and the management. The property is all inclusive and a very quiet and confortable place. It is located in a court that is off the main street and very quiet. It is close to metro stations, and I enjoyed walking to work every day. I joined Capital Bike Share and had a bike kiosk a half block from the property. Great restaurants and bars are all in easy walking distance, as are grocers, phamacy and cleaners. I loved walking around the neighborhood, especially at sunset and early in the mornings. The neighborhood is a safe, family friendly area full of people jogging and walking dogs. The management of CHS is very friendly, helpful and responsive, and lives within a few blocks of the property. One cold January night I locked myself out of the house while taking out the garbage. It was 20 degrees and I had on sweat pants and a T shirt. I called the management and he was there within 5 minutes to let me in. Toward the end of my stay I needed to extend my stay by a week. CHS management was very responsive in accomodating my request and was able to move me to another property at 406 E Capitol st, half a block from 310 Miller's. This again was a wonderful little place to live and I greatly appreciate the CHS managements flexibility. You'll be glad you stayed with CHS if you need to live in DC for an extended time.

It has been great! It is a nice neighborhood, very well designed and equipped unit, friendly responsive management company, and lots of great restaurants and activities nearby. All around it has been excellent stay! I would recommend it to anyone in need of temporary quarters or on a detail to DC.

Great place! Great location! There are lots of furnished places to choose from in DC, but with 310 Millers Court you get incredible charm. Unique furniture throughout, and its historic location on Capitol Hill can't be rivaled! If 310 is on your list of possibilities - don't hesitate! You'll love it!
