Tenant Comments

I've stayed with Capitol Hill Stay twice - first in 2003 for a couple months, then again in 2005 for almost a year. The best part about CHS is that the apartments are extremely well located - 2 metro stops, tons of restaurants and bars and easy access to pretty much everywhere. Another great advantage was that Capitol Hill Stay worked with the State Department's complicated sliding scale per diem, something most Capitol Hill companies can't be bothered with.

The (Junior 1 BR) apartments themselves were great - compact but up to date, stylish and with a built in "home" feel you just can't get in a hotel. Highly recommended.

My husband and I used Capitol Hill Stay for a few weeks in Sept/Oct 2013 during our move back to D.C. before our household goods arrived. Brian was always very accommodating of our needs and responded quickly to every email communication I sent regarding our move in/ move out.

The process of signing the agreement paperwork and making payment was so easy I could take care of it from my smartphone. A big plus! Andre, the property manager, was extremely courteous and helpful showing us the apartment and ensuring we were settled.

The apartment had all of the amenities we needed plus the bed and furniture were very comfortable. The locations of their apartments are within a short walking distance to a couple metro stations and to many eateries, cafes, bars, and services. Highly recommend Capitol Hill Stay!!!

I loved it! This arrangement suited the needs of me and my roommate perfectly. Good place to stay for a limited time. I would stay longer, but it is a little out of my price range without a roommate. Brian was terrific. Best landlord I've had yet!

I stayed with Capitol Hill Stay for 2 1/2 months during my house hunt. While I considered a hotel, I decided that I would rather be in a place that felt like a home, so I decided to give them a try. I'm glad that I did!! The apartment that I stayed in was spacious, modern and very clean. The unit featured a garden and rooftop deck and luckily, even though I was there in Fall/Winter, I had the opportunity to enjoy a few warm days outside enjoying the sun. Thank you Brian, Phil and the staff of Capitol Hill Stay for making a stressful time so pleasant!

I can give Capitol Hill Stay an enthusiastic five-star rating. I needed a place to stay for a few months over the holidays while I was between houses and this was a great choice. Brian and the staff were excellent hosts and responded promptly to any questions/requests I sent along.

The apartment itself was just what I was looking for. It was roomy, clean, quiet and stocked with the necessities (kitchen supplies, linens, pillows, etc.). The location was very convenient for my needs, with grocery stores, restaurants and, most importantly, not one, but two different Metro lines (Red and Blue/Orange) only a short walk away. I would stay with them again without a doubt!

If I come back to Washington next year, I plan on staying with you again. The apartment was very nice, the location was great. When ever I needed assistance you helped without complaint. Thank you.

-- Cheryl Matney

The time staying here was excellent, and the owners were very nice and helpful. They even helped me out with my bike situation and I got a ride to the place so my bike could be put back together. When I had locked myself out, Brian was willing to meet me or let me borrow his keys and whenever anything needed fixing it was addressed immediately.
