Tenant Comments:

I've stayed with Capitol Hill Stay twice - first in 2003 for a couple months, then again in 2005 for almost a year. The best part about CHS is that the apartments are extremely well located - 2 metro stops, tons of restaurants and bars and easy access to pretty much everywhere.

Another great advantage was that Capitol Hill Stay worked with the State Department's complicated sliding scale per diem, something most Capitol Hill companies can't be bothered with. The (Junior 1 BR) apartments themselves were great - compact but up to date, stylish and with a built in "home" feel you just can't get in a hotel. Highly recommended.

My partner and I rented Apt. 4 at 11 2nd Street NE from Capitol Hill Suites in June 2010 while she was beginning a fellowship at the Smithsonian. The apartment was in tip-top shape, with pleasant furnishings, ample storage, excellent TV & cable, and free high-speed wireless. The landlord, Brian Stansberry, was very helpful and responsive when we requested a couple of additional items for the apartment.

The location is outstanding -- directly across the street from the Supreme Court, a block from the Library of Congress and Capitol, and just a short walk to excellent restaurants, Eastern Market, museums, etc. We highly recommend this company for people considering a longer stay in D.C.

My husband and I stayed in a small, adorable Capitol Stay apartment across from the Supreme Court for a summer when I had a fellowship in D.C. It was perfect. The apartment was clean and comfortable, the location could not have been safer or more convenient, and Brian was a truly thoughtful and responsive landlord. We even had our own parking space right outside the back door. The properties are in cool buildings and locations -- MUCH better than staying in a generic corporate apartment. If I get another fellowship in DC, I am definitely going to rent with Capitol Stay again.

Federal employees stay here! I stay in a lot of hotels for work and I usually go with the chain hotels. I will rethink this in the future. Brian Stansberry, the owner of Capitol Inn Stay, made me feel like family and was very attentive to my needs. Brian offered me a choice of properties at the government per diem rate and provided many services that larger hotels do (i.e. maid services) and some things they don't (i.e. a full gym membership)! He responded to my calls and e-mails usually within minutes giving me recommedations on ways to walk to work, resturaunts to visit, and attractions to see.

I stayed in a small apartment in Unit 404 at 11 2nd Street near the U.S. Capitol building. This apartment is trendy with well appointed furnishings and a modern FULL kitchen. I felt very safe in the neighborhood as there were Federal police officers posted across the street 24 hours per day. If your looking for a place to stay in DC this is it! Can't wait to stay here again! Just awesome!
