Riverby Books Capitol Hill
After 17 years of providing another “living room” for many of Capitol Hill residents and their pets, Riverby Books has decided to close its doors permanently. Riverby Books was conveniently located directly across the street from our furnished property on 406 East Capitol Street NE.
Many of our furnished properties on Capitol Hill are just minutes away from this amazing bookstore that is sadly now closed. They certainly had a loyal following for many years. Some of their more notable sells were: “medical books owned by Confederate General Stonewall Jackson’s personal doctor, a copy of A River Runs Through It owned by Robert Redford (who directed a movie based on the book), and a copy of The Cat in the Hat inscribed to Ayn Rand from Dr. Seuss, according to the outlet”.
